Sherpa is proud to have been part of the first-ever Winter Intern CLT, an initiative by the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance aimed at fostering young talent and strengthening the region’s workforce pipeline. Our Managing Director, Keith Neus, played a key role in February 10th event, moderating a panel on effective networking strategies for the 30 interns participating in the program.
Winter Intern CLT provides interns with a unique opportunity to serve as ambassadors for their companies, build valuable connections, and gain insights from experienced professionals. The program kicked off with an engaging “Get to Know Charlotte” quiz led by Tim Miner of Charlotte Is Creative, followed by a dynamic Q&A session with Chris Moxley, owner of 704 Shop, on why he loves Charlotte and what makes our city special.
Keith Neus then moderated a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring Jamie Cannon, Justin Constantine, and Jordan Greene, recruiting specialists from Duke Energy Corporation. The panel covered crucial job market insights, including what employers look for in entry-level candidates, common resume mistakes to avoid and how to determine if a company aligns with personal career goals.
“As a company that connects great talent with great opportunities, Sherpa is committed to developing the workforce of the future and strengthening our local community,” said Keith Neus, Managing Director at Sherpa. “Events like Winter Intern CLT are essential in helping young professionals build the skills, connections, and confidence they need to succeed, and we’re excited to be part of that mission.”
Winter Intern CLT is part of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s commitment to attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring that young professionals see Charlotte as the place to launch and grow their careers. The event was made possible through the support of Deloitte, Duke Energy Corporation, and GreerWalker CPAs and Advisors and was hosted by Grant Thornton
